It's been rumored for quite a while that Staal will soon sign a deal with the Pens. Well, those rumors are saying that it seems to happen sooner rather than later. The contract is said to be done before the new year. The rumors also say that the deal will be shorter than the long-term ones Malkin and Crosby have been signed too.
It's also rumored that Sykora wants to sign with the Pens, but it says he is looking for a three-year deal. Well, Shero is not really into giving three-year deals to anyone other than "star" players. We'll see how it ends.
